Using a drink holder at a standing desk

Plan for both sitting and standing, and remove the drink before the desk moves.

Check the stationary setup first

At the height you plan to use, choose a level spot with full support for the holder and room to lift the drink. Check sitting and standing separately: hand position and reach may change, as can the objects around the drink.

Remove the drink before adjusting height

Steadi is freestanding, not attached to the desk. Remove the drink to another stable surface before raising or lowering the desktop, and replace it only after the desk is stationary. We have not established performance during powered desk movement.

Check cables and monitor arms

Watch for objects or cables that occupy the intended drink area at either height. Keep the drink away from electronics and the path of moving equipment. A cup holder does not replace the desk manufacturer’s operating instructions.

If you prefer an attached holder

Use one specifically compatible with the desk edge and drinkware, following both manufacturers’ instructions. Do not infer that any clamp will be suitable for a standing desk merely because it fits its thickness. Check mounting clearance and the desk’s travel.

Choose for the problem you want to solve

For a wider drink base on a stationary desktop, Steadi may fit your routine. For reclaiming desktop space, compare mounting options. For liquid containment, consider an appropriate closed container. These are separate jobs, and no one accessory should be assumed to do all three.
