Tipping, sliding, and sloshing are different problems.

A drink may stay upright yet move across a surface or lose liquid through its open top. Choosing a holder starts with understanding which problem it addresses.

Tipping

A drink overturns when the forces acting on it take it beyond the support provided by its base. Container shape, liquid level, contact position, and the surface all affect the outcome. A wider supported footprint can help resist overturning; it is not a guarantee against every disturbance.

Sliding

A drink can move across a surface without overturning. The container and holder, desk texture, moisture, and direction of contact matter. Do not interpret a wider base as a promise that the drink will stay in one spot.

Sloshing

Liquid can leave an open top even when a drink stays upright. Steadi is not a lid or a liquid barrier.

Where Steadi fits

Set up thoughtfully
